Join us as we fill boxes for the San Antonio FoodBank! Each week, approximately 58,000 people receive emergency food assistance from an agency in the San Antonio Food Bank network. We want to be part of the solution. Come by the front parking lot at Churchill HS and pick up a box or 2,3,4. The box will have a list of groceries on the outside with an approximate cost of $20. Prayer for the DeYoungs

Please pray for Peter DeYoung's father, Lee. He is in the hospital suffering with cerebral malaria. He was critical but is showing improvement. They are beginning a treatment on his blood cells to remove the contagion. Please pray that the blood filtration will be positive and his body will begin to heal quickly. Backpacks!!!

Way to go Rockhills! We delivered over 3000 packs of wide-ruled paper on Tuesday and filled up a corner of Agora's youth building! So the next step is for Rockhillers to serve this westside community on Saturday morning. Hurricane

I've always liked the Miami Hurricanes. Maybe it's the name. Maybe it's the uniforms. Maybe South Florida reminds me of beaches and sunshine. I don't know, but when it comes to actual hurricanes, I don't get all warm and fuzzy. So hurricane Ike is on its way toward Texas and is projected to hit South Texas on Sunday morning. Taylor and I were in Austin yesterday chillin and learning from JJ Plasencio and our friends at Gateway Church. We stopped at Rudy's for breakfast tacos, had some great Cajun at lunch, and some BK on the way home--well balanced... See you at the concert Saturday!
