The LOUNGE

Each time I find myself at a point in life that I feel alone, sad or depressed, I slow down and self-evaluate. I reflect on my past, think about my present state, then ponder the future.
I think I do this a LOT more now that I am in my "mid to advanced years" on this earth. (Okay, I am over the hill)

My typical routine as I dissect my life is to migrate to the worldly reasons that I might be unhappy. I look at my job, my financial state, the things that I have. I then look at human relationships, my family, my friends and wish that those relationships were stronger.

Then usually about half way through the routine, I realize just how little I include God in my life, in my happiness, in my decisions. I realize that it is not self-improvement I need, not an improvement in the human relationships that I have.

The answer, as God reminds me through His Spirit, is to put my faith in the One that has promised to make improvements in me. To strive to revive the relationship with the One that can keep my life focused and on track.

Self - improvement is my downfall. I cannot do it myself. That is why I FALL SHORT.

My prayer today is that we would seek a closer relationship with God, and allow him to intervene in POSITIVE ways in our life!

Furniture

We are looking to donate our living room furniture and are wondering if anyone knows of a family in need or a ministry that could use them. Thanks for any helpful info!
